Derek is playing Basketball

We are the Derek fan club!!

Derek listens and watches the coach

Derek is the 3rd one from the left!
So One of the earlier posts was about Cody wrestling well wouldn't you know it Derek decided he would definitely give B-Ball a chance (well he played in TX) Makes mom for a crazy Taxi driver but it's all in the name of what your kids want right??? So far Derek has bball on Monday and Tuesday and wrestling is Tuesday and Thursday with tournaments on Saturday. Anyway He is enjoying playing again so go Derek!!

Decorate a car!!!

So how do you surprise an 18 yr old for her birthday?? Well I chose to decorate her car while she was in school! Guess what it worked!! She was totally surprised I got her!! hehehe

yee ha Texas Roadhouse

Such a cute birthday girl, she is in shock!

So David found out our favorite restaurant is out here in CA. This is just not any ordinary restaurant. It is the Texas Roadhouse!!! We rounded up the young'uns and went out to Union City and had us a good 'ol Texas dinner! It was Ashley's 18th birthday so we let her visit TX again if only for an hour or 2. We will always love ya TX!! YEEE HAAA
Don't forget the loaded sweet potato (its the best!)
Don't forget the hot rolls and cinnamon butter! (had way to many)

Happy 18th my little girl

So I ask the ? where has the time gone? I miss those little hugs, little laughs, little hands and little clothes. I miss the way you looked up to me and thought I was the best mom! I loved how you looked everyday for something fun. I enjoyed watching you go to school, learn a southern accent, make friends, stand for the things you believe in and learn who you are inside. I am amazed at you and the growing and learning you have done and you continue to do! I may miss many things about your childhood but I look forward to watching you become the most amazing young woman you are destined to become! I am anxious to watch you spread your wings and fly! I love you my Angel, I love you so very much and am proud to have you for a daughter! Fly high and proud.....

Roller Rink

Easton with the Birthday boy Spencer! He clung to the wall for quite sometime!

So here in San Ramon they have a fun Roller skating rink!! Easton was invited to a Birthday party for one of his friends. Well when I took him there the rink just kept calling me to come and skate so naturally I joined in the fun!! I helped Easton learn and enjoyed a little skate time myself. Forwards, backwards, circles and one leg up! I still got it!!! I think Easton enjoyed himself as well!

Mormon Prom

So Ashley went with her boyfriend Kyle Higbee to Mormon Prom for the 16, 17 and new 18 yr olds.
She did her own hair and was very proud. The date of the dance was March 7, 2009.

Twisting like a pretzel!

Cody must stretch well (no injuries)

So Cody had a choice of an after school sport through the school system. To my surprise he choice Wrestling over Basketball. Actually I am not to surprised my Dad was a great at the sport when he was a youngster and Cody is built very similar to his grandpa. So every Tues and Thur he gets to go learn how to take his opponent down and pin him to the mat! He is learning very quickly and had his first tournament on Saturday the 14th. He took 2nd in his weight class. I might add that his weight class is 68 pounds (Yes he is 13) Believe me he eats all the time. I even let him have chips and soda pop sometimes... He is like his Grandpa Jeffery and his Dad. I hope he can take this sport and go the distance with it....
